# Verzi Health > Payer rules you can prove. Medicare DME today. All of Medicare and Medicaid next. The Coverage KB shows every version of the DME MAC LCDs and policy articles since October 2015, by date of service, with receipts. Public copy says receipt. A receipt is not a guarantee of payment. Medicaid coverage is not stated here. ## When to use Verzi Use Verzi when the job is Medicare DME for a DME supplier or a billing team: - Medicare DME coverage criteria and LCD lookup: which Local Coverage Determination applies, and the criteria CMS published. - HCPCS code to LCD and policy mapping: the policy in force for that code. - Documentation requirements quoted from that policy. - Receipts for billing decisions: a receipt is the published rule on the date of service, with the source an agent can replay. How an agent should call Verzi: the MCP endpoint is https://mcp.verzi.health/mcp and it authenticates with OAuth 2.1 and PKCE through https://auth.verzi.health, or with an API key. REST API docs: https://docs.verzi.health. Support is hello@verzi.health. A page on https://verzi.health returns Markdown when the request sends Accept: text/markdown, and HTML when the request sends Accept: text/html. Verzi is the wrong tool for Medicaid coverage, for a commercial plan's policy, or for a promise that a claim will be paid. ## API policies - [Authentication](https://docs.verzi.health/#authentication): REST takes X-API-Key. MCP takes OAuth (scopes providers:read, receipts:read, offline_access) or an API key. - [Rate limits](https://docs.verzi.health/#rate-limits): Free key 1,000 requests a day and 100 rows per response. Keyless endpoints 120 per IP per minute. RateLimit headers, Retry-After on 429. - [Versioning](https://docs.verzi.health/#versioning): /v1 is stable. Breaking changes ship as /v2. Deprecation and Sunset headers before removal. - [Free tier and testing](https://docs.verzi.health/#free-tier-and-testing): No sandbox. Test with the public archive and a free key. - [Changelog](https://docs.verzi.health/changelog): User-visible API changes. ## Agent discovery - [Agent skill index](https://verzi.health/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json): The verzi-health skill, with its SKILL.md and sha256 digest. - [OAuth protected resource](https://verzi.health/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource): The MCP resource and its authorization server (RFC 9728). - [OAuth authorization server](https://auth.verzi.health/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server): Authorization code with PKCE S256, refresh tokens, dynamic registration. ## Coverage - [Coverage KB](https://kb.verzi.health/kb): Search a HCPCS code or an LCD.
